The Salvation MealsProgram

About the program

The Salvation Meals Program is run by The Salvation Army Redondo Beach Corps, at 125 W. Beryl Street. We cook fresh meals during the week and deliver them to neighbors who can no longer cook for themselves.

What we do

Fresh, nutritious meals, cooked and packed in our own professional kitchen and carried to the door by volunteers. Three, four or five meals a week on weekdays, and weekend meals whenever you need them. Behind every delivery there is a kitchen team and a driver who knows the door.

Who qualifies

Seniors 60 and older. Anyone who is homebound and cannot shop or cook for themselves, at any age. Apply for yourself or for someone you love.

How to apply

Fill in the form on this site, or call us at 310-318-2827 extension 1023 and we will fill it in with you. You may apply for yourself or for a loved one. Either way our team calls to confirm the details before the first delivery.

More than a meal

Many of the people we serve live alone, rarely leave the house, and go days without company. So the bag carries more than food: a Bible verse goes in with every meal, and our team talks with people at the door or on the phone to make sure all is well. A driver who notices that something is different is often the first person to notice at all.

The corps behind the meals

The Redondo Beach Corps is a Salvation Army church and community center serving the South Bay. The same people run our other programs for the neighborhood. The office is open Monday to Friday if you would rather talk in person.

What guides us

Dignity

Every client is served with respect, care and no judgment.

Independence

Good food at home helps people keep their routine, their health and their autonomy.

Faithfulness

We show up. Clients and families can count on meals arriving as promised.

Who makes it possible

This program runs on the generosity of the Beach Cities Health District, The Salvation Army in Redondo Beach, and donors across the South Bay. Their support is why a kitchen, a route and a phone call reach people every week.

Call the corps at 310-318-2827 and our team will walk you through the plans, current pricing and delivery days.
